After working in magazine publishing, veterinary medicine and teaching high school English and technology classes, I finally found my true passion when I interned for literary agencies in 2009. Shortly after, I started as an assistant for Lowenstein Associates and quickly worked my way up to Foreign Rights Manager and Associate Agent.
Now with New Leaf Literary & Media, I am the Director of Subsidiary rights, handling audio, translation and digital rights for the agency's titles. I also have an intimate list of clients who write everything from YA to non-fiction, as well as some illustrators. I regularly attend book trade shows (including Bologna International Children's Fair) to sell agency titles to foreign publishers, and also represent subrights for Red Tree Literary. I am an active member of AAR and SCBWI.
From time to time I teach courses for Media Bistro and Writers Digest. Take a look at my events page for any upcoming courses.
